AzAFP Policy on Marijuana in smoked form:
RESOLVED, that the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians oppose the use of marijuana for therapeutic effect in smoked or otherwise burned form, and
RESOLVED, that the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians takes a stance against the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, as it allows for the use of marijuana in smoked form for therapeutic effect,
RESOLVED, that the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians and American Academy of Family Physicians support randomized controlled studies to be conducted to examine THC as a potential therapy for medical conditions as long as it does not involve the use of smoked substances
