Our well established, fully accredited, 27 resident, unopposed Scottsdale Healthcare Family Medicine Residency program, located in beautiful Scottsdale, AZ and affiliated with the University of Arizona is seeking an additional full-time Associate Director to join our innovative and dynamic program.
Our program provides full-spectrum primary care to a diverse population, including a significant percentage of low-income patients. Established in 1974, our residency is a top ranked Family Medicine program with a long history of successful graduates; up to half of which remain in Arizona after graduation. Our program mission is to educate family physicians in an innovative, vibrant, collaborative setting to provide comprehensive, relationship-based care.
The Associate Director teaches Family Medicine Residents in the Family Medicine Center and at Scottsdale Healthcare. Coordinates and directs a variety of curricular areas and performs selected administrative duties for the residency and the hospital. Functions as a role model for residents in the clinical practice of medicine.
Ideal candidates must be Family Medicine board certified (MD or DO) and have strong clinical and teaching skills, with prior experience in a primary care residency environment. Inpatient and outpatient skills are required; and obstetrics is preferred. A love of teaching and commitment to resident and medical student education are musts.
