Born in 1993 as the philanthropic arm of the Arizona Academy of Family Physicians, the “personality” of the Foundation has matured and now provides critical educational support and community service opportunities to family medicine residents, medical students and practicing family physicians. It supports a wide variety of activities such as the Tar Wars Program, an annual Residents’ Practice Conference,  medical student activities (i.e. outreach and preceptorships), a Retired Physicians Network, outstanding resident & student awards, amongst others.

Our mission is to promote the health of the people in Arizona, by representing and promoting the specialty of Family Medicine and supporting our members in their professional development and service to the people of Arizona.
