The Arizona Academy of Family Physicians Political Action Committee (AzAFP-PAC) is the political action arm of the AzAFP. Its purpose is to allow the AZAFP to financially support state lawmakers who understand the need to have an environment in which family physicians can provide quality care for their patients and be appropriately recognized and reimbursed for that care.

The AzAFP remains committed to its mission to advocate for family medicine through its participation in the political process. AzAFP-PAC money does not buy support, but it does give AzAFP members additional opportunities to ensure family physicians’ interests are being effectively addressed at the state level.

Family physicians must be at the table when reforms in the health care system are proposed. A strong PAC will allow family physicians to build the required relationships. The more AzAFP-PAC members, the stronger the AzAFP’s voice will be in the political arena.

The AzAFP strongly encourages all members to make a contribution to the AzAFP PAC. Any amount is welcomed.  We understand that these are difficult economic times, but family physicians cannot afford not to contribute.
